The STL Rules, Policies, Regulations

Note: All training courses include three prerequisite of STL Rules, Policies, Regulations, US Labor LAW, Non-Discrimination.

Policies, regulations and rules directly or substantially affect procedural or substantive rights and duties of individuals that interact with the Company.


🔘 STL Policy:

A “policy” is any standard, statement, or procedure of general applicability adopted by the Board of Trustees pursuant to authority delegated by law or the Board of Governors.


🔘 STL Regulation:

A “regulation” is any standard, statement (which may include a policy statement), or procedure of general applicability adopted by the CEO or CEO’s delegate that addresses a lot of matters.


🔘 STL Rule:

A “Rule” is a standard, statement or procedure, other than a policy or regulation, adopted by a section or administrative unit of company to implement Policy or Regulation or address matters within the operational authority of the unit. A Rule may supplement but not conflict with policies and regulations.

STL, US Labor LAW:

🔘 The rights and duties for employees, labor unions, and employers are set by labor law in the United States. Labor law's basic aim is to remedy the "inequality of bargaining power" between employees and employers, especially employers "organized in the corporate or other forms of ownership association".

STL, Non-Discrimination

🔘 STL - Non-DiscriminationNon-discrimination is an integral part of the principle of equality. It ensures that no one is denied their rights because of factors such as race, color, sex, language, religion, political or other opinion, national or social origin, property or birth. In addition to those grounds, discrimination on certain other grounds may also be prohibited. These grounds include age, nationality, marital status, disability, place of residence within a country and sexual orientation.

STL, Labor , Safety and Health (LS.H)

🔘 The goal of a labor safety and health program is to foster a safe and healthy occupational environment.The main focus in labor health is on three different objectives: (i) the maintenance and promotion of workers' health and working capacity; (ii) the improvement of working environment and work to become conducive to safety and health and (iii) development of work organizations and working cultures in a direction which supports health and safety at work and in doing so also promotes a positive social climate and smooth operation and may enhance productivity of the undertakings. The concept of working culture is intended in this context to mean a reflection of the essential value systems adopted by the undertaking concerned. Such a culture is reflected in practice in the managerial systems, personnel policy, principles for participation, training policies and quality management of the undertaking.

STL - FLSA Training (The STL Global Fair Labor Standards Act)

🔘 The Fair Labor Standards Act (FLSA) is a federal law that establishes standards for minimum wage, overtime pay, recordkeeping and child labor. The FLSA also defines which types of work must be paid on an hourly basis and which jobs are exempt from overtime. Enforced by the US Department of Labor’s Wage and Hour Division, the FLSA applies to individuals working full time and part time, in both the private and public sector.

*The Fair Labor Standards Act of 1938 29 U.S.C. § 203 is a United States labor law that creates the right to a minimum wage, and "time-and-a-half" overtime pay when people work over forty hours a week. It also prohibits employment of minors in "oppressive child labor". 

STL HR. M (STL Global Human Resource Management)

🔘 Human Resource Management is a sub discipline of Business & Management studies. HRM is an essential part of any business and deals with recruiting the right people for the right positions, as well as managing and offering guidance for employees during their stay in a company.
